Singapore

Well, Daddy is off on another work trip...he left yesterday, and his first stop was Singapore. We obviously want to keep Daddy up to date on all our shenanigans so we'll keep the blog updated regularly over the next couple of weeks.

Daddy called this afternoon to let us know that he arrived safely. He said he had a good trip...he spent 21 hours in the air! Did you know that Singapore is exactly 12 hours ahead of us? This got me curious about other interesting facts about Singapore so I did a little research.

Singapore is an island located in Southeast Asia between Malaysia and Indonesia and is slightly more than 3.5 times the size of Washington, DC.

Singapore was founded as a British trading colony in 1819. It joined the Malaysian Federation in 1963 but separated two years later and became independent. Singapore subsequently became one of the world's most prosperous countries with strong international trading links (its port is one of the world's busiest in terms of tonnage handled) and with per capita GDP equal to that of the leading nations of Western Europe.

As for me and Maddux, we have been playing, hanging out with Mommy, taking a few naps, eating lots of treats, and of course we got a bath.

Maddux got his bath first so I could be found in my usual hiding place.

We spent a lot of time today making Mommy play our new favorite game...chase the ball. For Maddux's birthday, he got this big ball that hides several little balls, and it has become one of my favorite toys. I love to stick my head down in it and pull out the little balls, and I can fetch those balls all night! Maddux also likes to chase the balls and then carry them around in his mouth, but he won't stick his head in the big ball (I'm sure this does not come as a shock to those of you who know Maddux...he's a little paranoid).
