Family Visit

On Saturday, Nana, Uncle Bryon, Auntie Tina, and Cousin Sam came to visit us. We were very excited…it was Sam’s first trip to Georgia. Sam has been working on our names, and he now calls Maddux what sounds like “Mikey”. He loves playing with us and saying, “Hi, Mikey!” Yes, he calls me “Mikey”, too…I’m not sure he can tell us apart. Every once in awhile he would try to say my name and it sounded kind of like “Baby”. Maddux thinks that because Sam calls both of us “Mikey” that he likes him more…I highly doubt that.

As soon as Sam arrived, he found the stairs…and LOVED going up and down them.

Another set of stairs he liked were the ones we use to get on the bed. At the end of the video, you can hear him say “moke” because he sees a candle burning.

He also liked playing with the dog house. He would climb up the stairs to sit on top, or he would just sit on the stairs and look at the pictures. Mommy was glad the dog house was getting some use since Maddux and I don’t play with it.

After everyone settled in, they decided to take a trip to IKEA. Sam liked riding in the buggy at first, but he preferred Mommy or Nana to carry him. Of course, Mommy loved it because she rarely gets to carry him around.

Sam also got a ride from Uncle Bryon. Auntie Tina has her Tennessee shirt on, but unfortunately the Vols lost that night to Alabama.

Sam also found several items he liked while they walked around the store. Here he is in a rocking chair.

He also found a bed where he could take a rest and go “night-night”.

Then, he had a seat with Mommy and Daddy.

On Sunday, Nana and Mommy stayed with me, Maddux, and Sam while Daddy took Uncle Bryon and Auntie Tina to the NASCAR race.

Before they left for the race, Sam sat with Mommy to drink his juice.

We had big fun while everyone else was at Atlanta Motor Speedway. We played inside until it warmed up.

Then we went for a walk and rode Sam around in his stroller. Mommy wasn’t able to get any pictures because it was too hard to hold the camera and both our leashes. After we got back from our walk, we played in the backyard.

Sam loved wiping his shoes on the grass.

Sam heard some neighborhood kids playing so Nana let him peek over the fence.

Mommy couldn’t resist getting his picture from the other side of the fence.

Daddy, Uncle Bryon, and Auntie Tina had a good time at the race. Daddy took the good camera to the race. Mommy doesn’t like being stuck with the old camera but Daddy insisted he needed the zoom to take good pictures. Reluctantly, Mommy gave in, and she battled with the old camera all day. Needless to say Mommy was not very happy when she went to download the pictures Daddy took and only found six pictures! Daddy didn’t even get a single picture of Uncle Bryon and Auntie Tina at the race. ..NOTHING! I sure hope Daddy enjoyed using the camera because that will probably be the last time he sticks Mommy with the old one.

Here are two of the six pictures Daddy took:

We were so glad everyone came to visit, and we hope they will come back and see us soon.
