What a Weekend!

We went to Knoxville this weekend to celebrate Nana's bithday a little late and Auntie Jamie's birthday a little early. Unfortunately, things did not turn out exactly as planned.

You'll know from our previous posts that Uncle Rich has been very sick recently. He got to feeling some better, but never really got back to 100%. Since he was feeling really bad Saturday morning, we had to take him to the emergency room.

While Uncle Rich was getting checked out, we had a little birthday celebration for Nana at her house. Check out the cool shirt that Sam gave Nana. Maddux and I totally agree!

Maddux and I wanted to play with his toys, too.

I was ready to read a book and take a nap.

Sam was ready to help everyone eat cupcakes...he helped Auntie Tina, Nana, and Uncle Bryon. He also learned a new phrase, "I made a mess!" He's such a cutie!

Sam was hyped up on cupcakes and didn't want to sit still for a picture. He was ready to run and play.

Late Saturday evenening we finally got an update on Uncle Rich. Unfortunately, he's going to have surgery and most likely he will have to be moved to Vanderbilt. We'll keep you posted on his progress.

Even though it wasn't the best circumstances, we hope Nana had a great birthday, and we'll make it up to Auntie Jamie after Uncle Rich is back on his feet.

Unlce Rich, we are thinking of you, and we hope you get better soon!
