Christmas Eve

Give Me the Snowman!

We were planning on spending Christmas Eve with Sam at Nana's house, but before we left, I decided I wanted to take Mamaw's snowman with me.

Evening with Sam

We made it over to Nana's a few minutes before Uncle Bryon, Auntie Tina, and Sam so Mommy took the opportunity to take a few shots.

Here's me checking out the gifts under Nana's tree.

Here's me scratching my head along Nana's couch trying to get my bow out. I did succeed, but Mommy put it back in.

We were very excited to see Cousin Sam when he arrived.

Sam has learned all kinds of new words since we saw him last. He still doesn't say my name much, and when he calls me something it sounds like "Mikey", which really means "Maddux".

He has even learned to say Mommy's name. The first time he said "Tanya" I thought Mommy was going to melt into a puddle on the floor...he has her wrapped around his little finger. He can also say Daddy's name, and he would walk around saying "Hi, Bill".

Sam loves to have music playing so Nana had the Christmas music channel on so he could dance when he felt the need. He would also say "snowman" when one showed up on the TV screen, "ball" for an ornament, and "boots" for stockings. He didn't actually sing it for us, but we found out he knows all the words to Jingle Bells.

After we ate our dinner, it was time to open presents.

Mommy and Daddy got Sam a few DVDs. One was Bob the Builder so Sam would know what Uncle Bryon does while he's at work.

Maddux and I got Sam these baseball and football pillows. He loved throwing them at Nana and Mommy's head...he has a pretty good aim but luckily they are very soft.

Mommy and Daddy also got Sam this cool car. Well, it's not just any car it's a BMW. The headlights and taillights work and it even has working turn signals.

Before we gave it to Sam, I had to test drive it to make sure it was safe for him. Maddux was afraid of it and didn't want to get too close.

Here are a couple of pictures of us doing our safety checks.

We decided it passed the quality inspection. Here's Sam getting on his new ride for the first time.

Here he is taking a drive through Nana's kitchen with his lights on. He even tells Maddux to get out of his way so he doesn't run over him, and you can hear him honk the horn.

After all the presents were opened it was time to take more pictures.
