It wasn't much of a snow event, but the family in Knoxville got quite a bit of snow. We certainly hope this is not an indication that our winter is going to be bad. Bella and I are NOT snow dogs...we enjoy warm weather!
After we watched the snow, it was time for my yearly vet visit...yuck! Before I talk about the vet, I wanted to take a minute to introduce the newest member of our family...Gracie the cat.

She showed up this summer for a few days, and then disappeared so we thought she found her way home. Well, a few weeks ago she showed up again, and she's decided to stay. Mommy and Daddy have tried to find her owner, but no luck. We are trying to find her a good home that can keep her inside, but until then, she is a member of our family.
Since Gracie is hear to stay for the foreseeable future, she needed to get checked out at the vet. So, not only did I go to the vet yesterday Gracie went, too!
Here she is in the pet carrier in the backseat of Mommy's car.

Bella wasn't sure she liked Gracie riding behind her. Here's a picture of the face off (Mommy thought she got a video on her phone of Bella barking at her, but unfortunatly she didn't save it).

Gracie did very well in her carrier. She didn't give Mommy and Daddy any trouble. She must have really liked it because when the nurse tried to get her out to get her weight, she was hanging on for dear life. Turns out, Gracie weighs more than me...she's 8 lbs 2 oz and I'm 5 lbs 5 oz!
The vet checked me out first, and I'm healthy as a horse. I don't even need to get my teeth cleaned (Ha! Take that Bella.). More good news is that they've decided they only need to do the poopy test every other year. Whew, what a relief! I was super excited to hear that no one would be inserting a stick in my poopy hole (Gracie wasn't so lucky).
Gracie is fairly healthy as well. We found out she is a 3-4 year old Persian (at least part Persian). She is a little thin, a couple of chipped teeth, and she has some worm issues, but other than that she is healthy. Unfortunatly for her she has to go back in 3 weeks for a few more shots, and then she'll be fully vaccinated.
The only thing left is to get her cleaned up a little bit. Her fur needs to be cleaned and trimmed so we are getting her groomed soon. Welcome to the family, Gracie!
Only 19 days left until Santa Paws! (Bella better start sending Santa some bribes to get on the 'nice' list.)
