Georgia Aquarium

This weekend Mamaw and Papaw came to visit us. On Saturday, they all went to the Georgia Aquarium to see the Titanic exhibit. I don't know why Maddux and I couldn't go...What's up with that? There are animals at the aquarium so what's the big deal about a couple of cute little dogs??

As you they entered the Titanic exhibit, they give each person a boarding pass with the name of actual passengers that were aboard the ship. At the end of the exhibit, you find out if you lived or died. Of all four of them, Mommy was the only one that survived (Daddy was so sure it would be him since he was a wealthy first-class passenger). Unfortunately, pictures were not permitted inside the exhibit.

The only picture they could take was in front of the grand staircase before they entered the exhibit.

They got there early to beat the crowds, but by the time they got out of the Titanic exhibit, there were people everywhere! People kept bumping into Mommy and running over Mamaw with strollers...Mommy thought she was going to hurt someone. However, she managed to regain control, and they made it through the rest of the aquarium.

There was a diver cleaning the tank. I guess fish are messy!

It was feeding time for the whale sharks. They are filter feeders, and they are sucking up tons of water and the tiny krill (shrimp like animal) like a vacuum.

We had a great time with Mamaw and Papaw this weekend! Mommy also wanted me to send Papaw a message, "We ain't got no breakfast!". It's kind of an inside joke...I could tell you the story behind this exclamation, but the truth is, you wouldn't find it funny. It's one of those 'you had to be there' moments.

GOOD JOB!

While we were at the aquarium, Unlce Bryon sent us a vidoe of Sam riding his tricylce and honking his horn. You can hear him say "Good job!" after he honks it successfully. Doesn't he look cute in his helmet.

We hope Auntie Tina had a great baby shower today for the twins. We are sorry we couldn't be there, but we were thinking about her.

When we were in Knoxville this weekend, Auntie Tina gave us some new pictures of Sam.

We said in the last post that we gave Sam some Spiderman pajamas, and he loves them! When we pulled them out of the bag, he said he was going to watch Cosby (that kid LOVES the Cosby Show) and take a nap.

Uncle Bryon sent us a picture of him wearing them.

Uncle Bryon said he doesn't want to take them off. I think we are going to have to get him a spare pair for when Auntie Tina has to wash them. Don't worry Sam...Bella and I will find you another cool pair of Spiderman pjs so you'll have a spare.

Happy Father's Day!

Ok, we know Father's Day was yesterday, but we were way too tired yesterday to update the blog after our exciting weekend in Knoxville.

On Friday, everyone took Papaw out to eat for Father's Day. They went to the restaurant were Uncle Rich works called Aubrey's, and the food was very good (at least that's what Maddux and I were told since we didn't get to go). Uncle Rich, can you put in a good word for the dog community...we would love to be able to dine out with the family.

Papaw liked his gift card to Bass Pro.

On Saturday night, Mommy, Daddy, and Nana went over to Uncle Bryon and Auntie Tina's house to visit with them and Sam. Because Sam has been a good boy about going potty, Mommy and Daddy took him some presents. He got golf clubs, Spiderman PJ's, and a Spiderman water toy that blows bubbles. Uncle Bryon and Auntie Tina also got him a bubble mower.

Sam with his clubs...look out Tiger Woods!

Sam enjoyed mowing the driveway with his new bubble mower.

Uncle Bryon had to make some adjustments to Spiderman's bubble maker.

By the time Sam had made a few laps he was soaking wet.

Before they went in to eat pizza and Spiderman cupcakes, Sam decided to take a dip in the pool with this shoes on, and he loved splashing Nana and Mommy.

After dinner it was time to give Uncle Bryon his Father's Day gifts and also give Auntie Tina her baby shower gifts. Mommy is very disappointed that she won't be able to attend the shower next weekend for the twins, but she's happy she got to give Auntie Tina her presents a little early.

Sam has started saying "That's mine" or "That's Sam's", and when he was helping open Uncle Bryon's presents, he kept saying, "That's Sam's". You can here him in the video lay claim to the book Nana gave Uncle Bryon. (Sorry the video is sideways, but Daddy was in charge of the camera, and he apparently didn't know you are not supposed to do videos with the camera sideways.)

After all the presents were opened, everyone went up to Sam's playroom to watch a movie. Sam sat still long enough to drink his juice.

Then, he was ready to play with Mommy and Daddy in his frog tent.

While everyone was over at Sam's, Maddux and I hung out with Mamaw and Papaw, and Auntie Jamie came over to visit, too!

We hope Papaw, Uncle Bryon and Daddy had a great Father's Day. We love you all very much!
