Guess who came to see us today...come on, guess...you'll never get it so I'll just tell you...Ms. Corinne!! Yep, that's right...she's visiting this week from the UK, and Mommy and Ms. Stephanie are beside themselves with excitement!!

We love it when Ms. Corinne comes to play with us!

Today, they went to a place called Sips N' Strokes to paint an abstract picture of poppies. Before we get to the painting, we must show you Ms. Corinne's rental car...it was space age! It's actually a Nissan Cube.

OK, back to the painting...here are each of their pallets of paint. You can tell by the distribution of paint that they all have distinct personalities (note the Friends reference).

Ms. Stephanie "Monica" because she's super Type A personality.

Mommy "Rachel" because she's somewhere between Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Corinne.

Ms. Corinne "Phoebe" because she flies by the seat of her pants (plus, I'm sure she could belt out a great rendition of "Smelly Cat").

You can see that the paintings are all very different (because none of them followed the instructions exactly) - Ms. Corinne had her own color scheme going on...she spent the first part of the class trying to make brown; Ms. Stephanie didn't do the texture and opted for more of a scraped look; Mommy refused to do the splatter technique (Ms. Stephanie did the splatter and got it all over her clothes and Ms. Corinne splattered her neighbor).


After the master pieces were complete, the last thing to do was sign the wall of fame. (Who the heck is Grace?)

They had a great time today and are making more plans this week to spend time together. I guess we'll be spending a lot of time with Daddy this week!

Mr. James, we heard you hurt your leg playing Squash. You really should be more careful around those vegetables...Maddux and I prefer Sweet Potatoes - the dehydrated kind. We hope you are making it OK on your bum leg while Ms. Corinne is over here with us. Sorry you couldn't make the trip this time, but tell Owen we said "Hi!"
