Oh, if you are wondering about the name of the post, Peridot is the birthstone for August. Maddux thinks I'm so clever...well, he didn't actually use the word "clever", but I'm sure that's what he meant.

Shed Part IV

The past two weekends progress is continuing to be made on the shed. Last weekend, Daddy got the front siding and the window installed.

We still have a long way to go, but we are making steady progress.

I weigh WHAT?!

It was time for my yearly checkup so Mommy took me to see Dr. Huhman today. It was par for the course...they took my blood with a cat needle, put a stick in my bottom to check my poop, two shots, and more medicine up my nose, which I immediately blew out all over their table, Mommy, and Dr. Huhman. I'll not lie..I wasn't sorry.

I was also weighed on a baby scale, and I was shocked at the number - 4lbs 8oz! Mommy's mouth fell open. She couldn't believe I had blown past 4lbs when last year I only weighed 3lbs 14oz.

I got a clean bill of health with one exception...my teeth, which are my problem area. Mommy has tried to brush my teeth, but I'm not very cooperative. In my defense, teeth issues are a problem with my breed. Yes, Maddux we know...you are almost 6 and have NEVER had your teeth cleaned. We'll talk after your visit in December. Anyway, I'm not happy about it, but I have to get my teeth cleaned again this year.

While I was being poked and prodded, Maddux was having a relaxing afternoon without me. He stayed home with Daddy while Mommy did the dirty work.

When we were in Knoxville for the twins 1st Birthday, Mommy snapped a few pictures of us with cousin Linus, and she realized we never posted them. She said if it happens again she'll take over writing the blog. (There's no way Mommy could do as good a job as me and Maddux.)

Shed Part II

Well, it was another steamy hot weekend in "Hot"lanta so guess what Daddy was doing? He was outside in the 100 degree heat working on the shed in our backyard AGAIN, and this weekend Mamaw and Papaw came to help. If you're in the family, you better not answer the phone if it rings this week...it may be Daddy asking for some help next weekend.

Flashing is up (at least we think that's what it's called...it's the board on the underside of the overhang on the roof).

Sunday Progress:

It was really hot again on Sunday so they had to get out early, and I'm sure some of the neighbors were less than thrilled to be awakened on Sunday morning at 8 AM to the sound of a nail gun and and air compressor. Sorry neighbors!

A lot of progress was made this weekend, but unfortunately there is still a lot left to do. Maddux and I have to say we are not big fans of this shed. First of all, whose bright idea was it to start building this shed in July...in Atlanta? For the past two weekends, Maddux and I have been left on our own while everyone else is out in the backyard working. We prefer to have Daddy inside napping!
