Stone Mountain

Auntie Jamie and Ash came to visit us this weekend. Somebody had the bright idea (probably Daddy) to walk to the top of Stone Mountain. Mommy and Daddy have gone to the top before, but Mommy said she must have blocked out how hard it was...especially in the Atlanta heat!

Just getting started so everyone is all smiles:

A few minutes later...reality starts to set in (Auntie Jamie has lost her smile):

It was really hot, and parts of the mountain are really steep!

Seriously re-evaluating her decision to climb the rest of the way.

While Auntie Jamie was weighing her options, Mommy and Daddy made their way to the top.

It was really hot, but it was a clear day so you could see the city:

Auntie Jamie made it to this spot (under a tree) and didn't think she could make it any further because she was afraid she wouldn't make it down (did we mention she's scared of heights?!)

From this angle, you can see why Auntie Jamie was concerned about coming back down.

Auntie Jamie didn't think she could do it so Ash joined us at the top to take a few pictures.

While we were snapping some pictures, look who decided to join us:

So proud of her for making it to the top.

Once they made it down the mountain, Mommy suggested they make this a tradition...Ash was up for it, but Auntie Jamie didn't care for the idea.

Many Moons Ago

A very long time ago (we won't say how many years) Daddy was born on this day. Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Daddy has a lot of hot air, but he never would have been able to blow out 45 candles! (oops...I let it slip)

Daddy got a big surprise for his birthday...Nana came down!

All Bella wanted to do was lick the air and try to give me sugar.

I wasn't cooperating during picture time. I didn't feel like looking at the camera.

We hope Daddy had a great birthday!

Daddy's Early Birthday

Daddy's birthday isn't until next week, but since we won't be in Knoxville next weekend, he got some gifts early.
