Hello, Dolly!

If you remember from the last post, Daddy made a wish for rain so the Dollywood trip would be canceled...his wish did not come true.

Unfortunately for me and Bella, this meant that we would be left alone all day while Mommy, Daddy, Mamaw, Papaw, Nana, Auntie Jamie, and Uncle Rich had a good time in Pigeon Forge. Dollywood does have pet care, but Mommy doesn't let just anyone watch her two precious babies so she decided against Dollywood Doggie Daycare.

Before they headed to Dollywood, they made a pit stop a Bass ProShop to check out the Christmas Village.

Once they got to Dollywood, they didn't actually get to see Dolly, but they did see lots of pretty Christmas lights.

One of the many Christmas trees inside Dollywood.

Once the sun went down it was kind of cold so everyone was bundled up. Here's Mommy and Daddy in front of another pretty Christmas decoration.

Even though Daddy was not looking forward to Dollywood, he had a pretty good time. He thought the best part of the park was the food. He got to try fried green tomatoes for the first time, and he found his new favorite snack: Kettle Corn. He liked it so much he bought a 10 lb. bag of it. Well, it may not have been 10 lbs, but everyone was joking that the bag of popcorn was the 8th passenger in the car.

Turkey Day

Maddux and I had a great Thanksgiving even though we didn't get any turkey. We got to see Uncle Rich, who is feeling and looking much better. The doctor is very pleased with his progress, and he should be back to 100% in no time. We are so glad he is feeling better!

We had big fun with the family.

Nana even stopped by after her shift at the rescue mission to visit.

All that fun wears you out so Maddux and I settled in for a nap.

Of course, I got Mamaw to rub my belly until I went to sleep.

Here's Daddy making a wish that it would rain on Friday so he wouldn't have to go to Dollywood.

HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY UNCLE RICH!

We not only celebrated Thanksgiving but we also celebrated Uncle Rich's birthday a little early. We won't be here on his real birthday (Dec 8th) so we went ahead and gave him his present...a watch (Mommy can't keep Daddy off of eBay).

Maddux couldn't resist helping open his present.

THANKSGIVING AT SAM'S HOUSE

Nana, Daddy, and Mommy went over to Uncle Bryon and Auntie Tina to have Thanksgiving with them and visit with Sam. Maddux and I were exhausted from the day's activities so we stayed with Mamaw and Papaw.

Mommy said Auntie Tina cooked a great meal, and they had a great time visiting and playing with Sam.

Sam liked playing with Daddy's hat.

There was a magazine with Santa Claus on the front and Sam would look at the picture and say "ho, ho, ho".

Sam is almost two years old, and he is constantly on the move.

Sam got to spend a lot of time playing with Daddy. He even got Daddy to read him a story. We think Daddy is a natural...he'll be volunteering to babysitting Sam all by himself.

Then, Sam decided he wanted to rock, but he wasn't in a rocking chair...he didn't let that stop him.

We are so glad we got to spend Thanksgiving with our family, and we have a lot to be thankful for. We hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving, too.

Happy Belated Birthday Papaw!

Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Photo Printing

Papaw, we are sorry we weren't here on November 12th to celebrate with you on your actual birthday. To make up for it, Bella and I will fix you turkey and all the trimmings tomorrow (ok, maybe we will get Mamaw to help us).

Twilight at Midnight!

Last Thursday night...or should I say Friday morning at 12:01 am, Mommy, Ms. Stephanie, and Ms. Corinne went to see the movie Twilight. They all three love the books, and they couldn't wait for the movie to premier. They went to the midnight showing because Ms. Corinne had a flight to the UK on Friday, but what better time to see a vampire movie than at midnight. Plus, they thought they could avoid all the herds of teenagers since Friday was a school day, but boy where they wrong.

Even though they had to put up with the screaming teenagers (and Ms. Stephanie's screaming), they had a good time. Of course, the movie wasn't nearly as good as the book, but they are hopeful that the sequel will be even better. I'm sure it will be a tradition for the remaining three movies to be viewed at midnight. Maybe they will invite me next time. I could fit in the popcorn bag and no one would know I'm there.

Mommy said she may be too old for staying up that late...she didn't get home until 3:00 am! Maddux and I had a barking fit to make sure Daddy was aware that Mommy was home.

As we've said before, the only person worse than Mommy about recording every event in pictures is Ms. Stephanie. She brought her camera and took some pictures at the theatre.

Mommy said she is going to cheat next time like Ms. Corinne and Ms. Stephanie and take a nap before the movie.

Oh Christmas Tree!

We decorated our Christmas tree today! You know what that means...it's almost time for Santa to come and leave us presents. Of course, Mommy had a crazy outfit for us to wear. She put us in matching shirts with "Rudolf Ain't Got Nothing On Me" on the back.

While Daddy hooked up the tree, we helped Mommy sort through the stockings. Can you guess which one is Bella's?

Here's us asking for treats since we had been good helpers.

It was taking Daddy a really long time to get the tree set up so we went to see if we could help him out.

We took a potty break. All that decorating makes you thirsty, and then you have to go potty.

Mommy thought this was a funny picture of Maddux in his shirt.

It was taking Daddy a really long time to get the tree set up. We found out that there were two lights out on the tree that couldn't be replaced so it was causing some branches to not light up. Luckily, Daddy was able to fix it. Mommy got a funny picture of Daddy working on the tree...all you can see are his feet.

Since it was taking longer than expected, Bella and I decided to take a nap.

Daddy finally got the tree working, and he and Mommy put all the decorations on. Here's Daddy putting on the final touches.

Finally! The tree is done. Can you find Mommy's two favorite ornaments?

Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Photo Printing

Let me give you a hint. Can you see the two picure ornaments now?

We also made good use of the tripod Auntie Tina got Daddy for his birthday. It only took 6 times to get me and Bella looking at the same time. I think we are getting better at it...it normally takes at least 10.
