Today was a very long day because I spent most of it at the vet having my teeth cleaned. Yuck! I'm sure my big brother, Maddux, enjoyed it because he got to be alone the whole day (but I'm sure he missed me a little).
My mouth is a little sore, and I'm still groggy from the drugs...other than that, I'm doing ok, but I hope I don't have to do that again any time soon.
Since my mouth is still a little tender, I am enjoying getting my food softened.
On Saturday morning, Mommy was practicing with her new camera and took LOTS of pictures of us, Mamaw, us and Mamaw, us and Mamaw and the flowers...you get the picture (oh, I made a funny).
Bella and I spent the rest of the day with Mamaw and Papaw while Mommy, Daddy, and Nana babysat Sam, Olivia, and Elizabeth so Uncle Bryon and Auntie Tina could go out for a belated anniversary dinner. Daddy was a little nervous about the babysitting gig, but Mommy and Nana were ready to go.
Before Uncle Bryon and Auntie Tina left, Uncle Bryon put the race on for Daddy, but as soon as they left, Sam was ready to watch Narnia...so much for the race! (Mommy and Nana were very pleased...they would much rather watch Narnia than the race.)
Sam wanted pizza for dinner so Daddy went out to get it (the pizza could have been delivered, but Daddy wanted to escape the house for a few minutes). While he was picking up dinner, Nana rocked Olivia, who was a little fussy, and Mommy watched the movie and played with Sam, while Elizabeth slept in her pack-n-play.
Sam did really well eating his pizza, and by the time they were done eating, it was time to feed the girls again. While Mommy fed Olivia and Nana fed Elizabeth, Sam and Daddy were upstairs in the playroom.
Mommy took Olivia upstairs to change her diaper, and she overheard this conversation in the playroom:
Sam: I got a boogie. Daddy: You have a boogie? Sam: Yeah, get it. Daddy: Ummm, well...
Mommy had to save Daddy from the boogie and helped Sam blow his nose. Who knew Daddy was afraid of boogies.
After Uncle Bryon and Auntie Tina got back from dinner, it was time for Mommy to really break in her camera and get some pictures of the girls in their little monogrammed gowns.
Everyone had a great time babysitting, and they can't wait to do it again. Although, we think Auntie Tina must be supermom because it took three people to watch the kids and Auntie Tina does it all by herself most days...I think we need to get her a cape!
Moths and More Moths
As they pulled out of Uncle Bryon's driveway, they rolled the windows down to wave goodbye to Sam, and a moth got it the car. They thought they got it out, but then Nana screamed because it hit her in the back of the head. Daddy had to stop the car and let everyone out to get the moth.
After we got back home, Daddy went to get the mail and thought there was a leaf on the porch light, but it turned out to be a giant moth!
