Everyone knows I'm a smart cookie, but now I even look like a smart person...Albert Einstein.
When Mommy took out my pink bow, my hair was standing on end! Auntie Jamie said I looked like a punk rocker, but Mamaw thought I looked like Albert Einstein.
(No turkeys were harmed in the making of this photo.)
Bella and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Before we left for Knoxville on Tuesday, we spent the day with Ms. Angie getting our haircut. I got a horse bandanna and Bella got a pretty pink bow.
After spending most of the day at the groomers and then three hours in the car, we were exhausted by the time we got to Mamaw and Papaw's house.
On Wednesday, Mommy, Daddy, and Nana went to Uncle Bryon and Auntie Tina's house to visit with them and cousin Sam, and Bella and I stayed with Mamaw and Papaw. We had lots of fun playing with the grandparents and Sassy. Auntie Jamie came to see us, too.
He is also pulling himself up, and we think he'll be walking in no time. Sam is also making many sounds so I bet he'll be talking soon, too. Call me crazy, but I think his first word will be "dog". He is extremely smart and cute (intellegence and cuteness run in the family you know). In case you doubt me when I say he's cute, here's proof:
We had a very busy Thanksgiving Day. We went to Uncle Rich and Auntie Jamie's house first to have lunch. Daddy and Nana couldn't make it because they went to feed the homeless at the Rescue Mission. Auntie Jamie had some really good food, and Papaw even shared his turkey with me, Bella, and Sassy. He's such a good Papaw!
After lunch, Daddy picked us up and took us to Nana's house to play, but we were so tired when we got there we had to take a nap first (we think Mamaw may have spiked that turkey). Once we got up from our nap, we had a good time playing with Nana. We even got to meet our Great Uncle Butch for the first time.
Once we were done playing at Nana's, we all went back to Mamaw and Papaw's house for dinner, which meant more turkey for me and Bella. I love this holiday! It was a great day, and Bella and I know we have lots to be thankful for.
(If you look in Dropshots, you'll see it took Papaw about a hundred tries to get a picture where everyone was looking.)
On Friday, it was very cold, but we got to go for a walk with Mamaw and Sassy in the neighborhood. It was so cold that Mommy put on our coats. Oh, Bella wanted me to give a special mention to her new pink leopard print coat.
As you can see from this really long post, we had an action packed holiday, and if you go to the Family Pictures link and click on the "Thanksgiving Holiday 2007" album you can see all 350 pictures that Mommy took. I'm not kidding...she really did take that many. Don't tell her I said it, but she has become a little obsessed with taking our pictures. I know we are really cute, but I think we may get retina damage if this keeps up.
Well, I better get going...I still have some unpacking to do and my paws are really tired from all the typing.
It's official...I'm a BIG girl. I'm no longer eating out of my little puppy bowl. I have graduated to a big girl bowl just like my big brother, Maddux.
Before I got my big girl bowl, I would make Mommy and Daddy laugh at meal time because I would ALWAYS try to eat out of Maddux's bowl. Mommy would tell me he had exactly the same food as me, but I would have to find out for myself. I'm very independent you know. Daddy calls it "being stubborn". I'm not sure what that means, but I'm sure it's good.
Well, I better go because I have to pack for my trip to Knoxville for the Thanksgiving holiday. Mamaw is making a turkey, and I can't wait to sink my teeth into it!
I can't believe Thanksgiving is this Thursday! It has always been a tradition to put up the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving, but since we will be in Knoxville and Daddy will have to pack for Japan after we get home, we put the tree up on Saturday. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but Bella and I had on our new jingle bell collars to feel even more festive.
This is going to be Bella and cousin Sam's first Christmas so it's going to be very exciting. Bella got a stocking that says, "Santa it's all about me" - she is such a diva. She was also a little naughty during the decorating. She kept jumping up and stealing Mommy's bows so she could chew on them, which you can see in the pictures below.
Well, all this decorating has gotten me in the holiday mood so I'm off to write my letter to Santa.
One year ago today Mommy and Daddy were married in Jamaica.
Unfortunately, I was not able to go (I don't know what Jamaica has against cute little Yorkies). Anyway, I stayed at the Pet Lodge Pet Resort. I was a little scared at first because I had never been away from Mommy and Daddy overnight much less for 10 days! While I was there, I got my own suite, lots of play times, and ice cream every night. It was a great place, but I hope I don't spend too much time there in the future. The picture below is of me in my room inside my car bed when I saw Mommy and Daddy walk in to pick me up...I was SO excited to see them. It's hard to believe it's been a whole year, but it has definitely been an interesting one...cousin Sam was born, Daddy had back surgery, Daddy was in a car accident, Sassy was diagnosed with cancer, and the addition of my baby sister, Bella. It's been a hectic year, and we are very thankful for our family and friends.
For their anniversary, Mommy and Daddy are going to a nice restaurant on Saturday. Hmm...I guess that means Bella and I will be locked in the bathroom all night. Crap!
Don't worry...we won't tell everyone how old you are, but in dog years you are 420 years old!! We can't wait to see you next week. By the way, we are going to need a place to stay. :)
Sunday's are bath day...YUCK! The bright side was that Maddux and I got to go outside and play after our baths. Check out the video of us chasing our toy bird. We soon forget about the bird and chased each other instead.
