Mommy and Daddy went hiking at Red Top Mountain over the Memorial holiday weekend. Bella and I didn't get to go,but flat Maddux & Bella went along for the hike.

Sapphire

Today, Mimi and Papaw have been married for 45 years! The traditional 45th anniversary gift is sapphire. I sure hope Papaw went to the jewelry store.

Lady of Leisure

After 12 years of service, our Mimi is retiring from Knox County Schools. She's worked with some wonderful people and helped some special children, but it's time for her to move on to the next phase...winters in Florida and blue-plate specials. :)

On Tuesday, Uncle Ash played delivery guy and delivered the Edible Arrangement that we all got for Mimi.

On Wednesday, the school threw her a party to say good-bye. Fortunately, Auntie Jamie was able to go and snap some pictures for us.

To commemorate her years of service, she got to pick out a picture to hang on the "Wall of Fame" at school, and she went with a picture of a hummingbird (her favorite).

My little sister, Bella, turns 6 today. It's hard to believe that it's been six years since we brought her home.

I have to admit that I was not happy to hear that she was here to stay, but after some time, she grew on me. It's not so bad having a little sister to boss around, and some days, I even let her think she's top dog.
