A Daffy Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today was a very special day for me and Bella. We spent our morning lending our paws to help other dogs and cats in need. We put on our Valentine's Day shirts, and Daddy drove us to Lawrenceville to drop off a bunch of dog and cat food at Daffy's Soup Kitchen, which is a non-profit that is providing families with free food that can't afford to feed their pets. Normally, I'm the only one that gets to sit in the driver's seat and help Daddy drive, but since it was Valentine's Day, I showed Bella some love by letting her drive. Even after my generosity, the little stinker stuck her tongue out at me.

After we dropped off the food, Mommy and Daddy stopped to pick them up something for lunch. While Daddy was inside getting the food, Mommy was taking all kinds of funny pictures in the car.

CALL FROM SAM

On our way back home, we got the best Valentine's Day surprise...a call from Sam. Uncle Bryon said that Sam was walking around with a phone pretending he was talking to us so they decided to give us a call. Sam even gave us the weather in Knoxville...he said, "It's raining outside."

Sassenach

Mommy has been working on her scrapbook this weekend, and I found a picture that I will hold over my big brother's head for the rest of our dog years.

If you'll remember in the post from yesterday, Maddux was denying me any pink colors or flower patterns in our new blog design, which I find very interesting since there is a picture of him in a skirt!

Maddux told me he would make my life very difficult if I didn't explain that this is NOT a skirt...it is a kilt. He also said Mommy made him wear it. Ms. Corinne and Ms. Stephanie brought this back for Maddux as a "gift" from Scotland. The funny thing is that is was actually designed for a wine bottle.

For those of you wondering about the title of the post, Sassenach (pronounced sas′ə nak′) is a term of endearment used by on of Mommy and her friends favorite characters, Scotsman Jamie Fraser, in the Outlander book series.

Facelift

Don't worry, Bella didn't go under the knife. She and I where checking out blogs of our friends, and we noticed that some had used thecutestblogontheblock to give their blogs a new look. We thought our blog could use a facelift, too.

Of course, Bella wanted something pink and girly, but I had to put my paws down. I'm a little dude...I can't have pink and flowers all over my blog!
