It's that time again...grooming day. Yuck! Maddux is still recovering from his scalping back in June so he just got his face and nails trimmed. I, on the other hand, got a more sporty hairdo on top. It's hard to see in these pictures because of the giant bow, but it's shorter...trust me.

Almost Famous

Mimi & Papaw visited this weekend, and Mommy and Daddy took them to Gallery 63. For those of you not familiar with the show, it's about an auction house in Atlanta that airs on the Discovery Channel. The show is called Auction Kings.

They didn't realize the show was filming for next season, and as they walked around, one of the producers asked Mommy if she would mind being interviewed about some of the items she saw in the gallery. Mommy was reluctant for many reasons, but Mimi talked her into it.

It's possible her interview won't make the show, but if it does, Mommy really hopes she doesn't sound like a goober on TV. 

They got to see the whole crew while they were there...Paul, Jon, Cindy, and Delfino. We are sure it's very difficult for them to get their work done while they have people coming up and always asking for pictures and wanting to chat, but they were all very nice.

By the way, we have more pictures of us with Mimi and Papaw, but we are saving them until later in the week so we can use them on Mimi's birthday post.

Air Dry

Mommy tried something new on bath day today...she let Bella air dry. Bella has always been dried with a hairdryer. She was unsure about what to do so she tried to dry herself...on Mommy's jewelry bag.

Yearly Checkup

Well, it was time for my yearly visit to the vet. I have to tell you that I was not at all thrilled about it, but Mommy took me anyway.

Here I am stressing before the doctor came in the room to get my weight. You can tell I'm stressed because my tongue is out (I'm also making my "clicking" sound). By the way, I weigh 4 lbs. 9 oz.

Maddux was due for his kennel cough vaccination so he got to go, too.

Since he was there anyway, Daddy wanted the vet to check Maddux's butt glands because he had been scooting around on the floor.

The nurse was holding Maddux up off the table while the doctor squeezed his butt glands, and Maddux was staring at me and Mommy with big bug eyes that screamed "Do you see what that mean lady is doing to me back there?! Do something!" Mommy regretted not getting a picture of this scene.  I must say...this was worth the trip. The unfortunate thing for Maddux is they didn't need to be squeezed. Turns out, it's most likely allergies causing his butt to itch. Needless to say, Maddux had a few choice words for Daddy.

I didn't get off unscathed. I had to give blood, and as always, they use the cat needle because my veins are so small. I was a big girl, and I didn't whimper or jump when the stuck me. Here's a picture of me after we got home sporting my bandage. I put on my extra pitiful face so I could get some extra treats. Of course, Mommy fell for it.

First Day of School

Today was Sam's first day of kindergarten!

Auntie Tina said the only tears shed were from the girls, who wanted to stay with big brother at his school. It's hard to believe in two short years, they will be starting kindergarten.

We are so proud of our little man, Sam!
