Find A Penny...

Pick it up, and then...swallow it. Well, that isn't how the rhyme goes, but that is what Sam did yesterday. Yep, he swallowed a penny. Auntie Tina knew there was a problem when Sam came up to her and said, "Where penny in mouth go?"

Auntie Tina and Nana took Sam to the doctor and he got an X-ray. Luckily, the little guy is doing fine, and the penny is back in Sam's piggy bank.

(This sounds like a stunt Bella would pull...she is always getting into something she isn't supposed to.)

Sam, we are glad you are doing ok, and we will see you next week!

Mulch, Mulch, Mulch!

It was a beautiful weekend in Atlanta so Mommy and Daddy took the opportunity to do some yard work. They removed all the old mulch from the front five beds and replaced it with new...it took 45 bags. They also put new plants in the hanging baskets on the front porch.

You can imagine that all this work took all day Saturday and most of the day on Sunday, which left me and Bella to fend for ourselves inside. For those of you who know us well, you know that we don't like to be left alone even if we are free to run around the entire downstairs.

Mommy and Daddy worked outside on Saturday for about 6 hours, and Mommy would come in and check on us, or she would look at us from the windows around the front door. As she peeked through the windows, she would see me either standing at the window looking at her or asleep on the rug in the sun. As for Bella, she was mostly found standing on the back of the couch looking around (she is such a showoff).

On Sunday, Mommy was only outside for a couple of hours, and when she came inside after she was done working, she could not find Bella anywhere. I came right to the door, but Bella was nowhere to be found. Of course, Mommy freaked out. She was screaming for Bella to come and she running around the downstairs trying to find the little stinker. I knew where she was, but I wasn't talking. Mommy was running several terrible scenarios through her head: she could have slipped by her when she opened the door or she could have fallen off the furniture and gotten hurt. It finally dawned on Mommy that there was only one other place Bella could possible be - upstairs. Yep, that's right...Bella decided she had enough of being downstairs so she climbed the stairs for the first time. I guess she thinks she can do whatever she wants since Friday is her 2nd birthday. Needless to say, Mommy was very thankful to find Bella unhurt. From now on, a baby gate will be going at the bottom of the stairs.

Here are a couple of pictures of Mommy and Daddy's hard work.

Cool Ride

Uncle Bryon sent us this picture of Sam doing laps around the driveway in his BMW. Bella and I think he is a NASCAR driver in the making.

Thanks Easter Bunny!

Today, we got dressed up in our Easter outfits and Mommy took pictures of us with the toys that the Easter Bunny delivered.

Us waiting patiently for a treat (Daddy was bribing us for a treat while Mommy got a picture of the back of my dress). Ms. Stephanie got me this dress, and this is the first occasion I've had to wear it.

Mommy had this bow in my hair, but It didn't last long. She had to get me from every angle in my dress and with the bow before I pulled it out.

Then, we moved outside since it was such a nice day.

The wind was blowing, and Maddux hates the wind so he just stood next to the basket.

The pollen was blowing around making us sneeze so we took our Easter celebration inside.

All the Easter festivities really made us tired so we decided to curl up and take a nap.

It's a good thing we rested up because we got to talk to Sam on Skype later in the evening. Sam, we know you weren't feeling well today...we hope you feel better soon. We are glad you liked the doggie backpack with all the goodies.

While we were "skyping" with Sam, Mommy couldn't resist taking a snapshot.

We hope everyone had a safe and Happy Easter, and Maddux and I want to thank the Easter Bunny for hopping into our house to deliver the basket.
